When the Da Polenta family became the owners of Ravenna back in the year 1200, the first walls of Piazza del Popolo were just being built, later becoming the town’s political centre. Even today you can admire the beauty of this same square while sitting at one of our tables, perhaps at the same time enjoying cappelletti pasta with ragù romagnolo, shrimp with potato strings and a bitter-sweet sauce or maybe our cheese ravioli with black cuttlefish and pea cream.
But that’s not all.
Here at Il Roma, we also look forward to offering you delicious cakes – aren’t you curious to find out what we mean by ‘Bavarian fishing’? – as well as a careful selection of wines that will pair perfectly with your meal at Il Roma. The kindness and hospitality of our staff will help you to rest during a break from all the beautiful sights that Ravenna offers.
